CURRENCY

The U. S. Dollar is the currency of the United States. Units are dollars and cents (100 per dollar). Current exchange rates can be obtained from your bank or online at http://finance.yahoo.com/currency. Most credit cards are accepted in the United States, including American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. In general, the use of credit cards and automated teller machines will provide a far more favorable exchanges rate than exchanging currency or travelers checks at banks or hotels.

ELECTRICITY

The electrical supply in the United States is 110V 60HZ in frequency. Some hotels can provide their guests with plug adapters upon request, but supplies are limited.

INTERNET CONNECTIONS IN ORLANDO

Most U.S. hotels offer wired or wireless high-speed internet connections.

SMOKING

In Orlando, as in much of the United States, smoking is banned in public places, including the Orange County Convention Center, restaurants, bars and hotels.

TIPPING

In Orlando, as in the rest of the United States, service personnel rely on tips for a substantial part of their income. For waiters, bartenders, taxi drivers, or similar, 15%-20% is standard. Baggage handlers at hotels and airports should be given $1-$2 per bag. A hotel housekeeper should be left $2 - $5 per night at the end of your stay. Tipping is not expected in fast food restaurants, theaters or cinemas.
