Alcatel-Lucent: Real-time Incident Monitoring Mobile Video Streaming Over LTE
This Alcatel-Lucent / AXIS demonstration will showcase real-time fixed as well as high bandwidth mobile video streaming and monitoring for real time incident detection using Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. Attendees will be able to ride along in a connected car resembling a police cruiser and view live video streams in the moving car from other locations as well as view transmission of video streams from the car to the pavilion. This is important when first responders deal with incidents on the roadways or when transportation authorities manage incidents on the roadways. Live demo in progress displayed at the pavilion will showcase interaction between a control center operator with the live video feeds from the field or from moving vehicles. LTE technology enables the high bandwidth video streaming as well as low latency requirements needed for such applications.
