Telvent: TRACE Air Quality Modeling
Telvent will demonstrate its TRACE air quality and congestion evaluation tool at the ITSWC 2011. This will be achieved through the use of roadside air quality monitoring sensors, local traffic detectors, weather information for the demonstration area, and pollutant emission modeling. This integrated tool will assists in identifying the problem pollutants and locations of pollution 'hotspots' correlated with traffic congestion. Using real-time traffic data and weather information, the pollutants modeling will provide an additional tool for prediction of air quality in particular zones as well as allowing prediction of future scenarios. The proposed demo system is a prototype of Telvent's integrated platform to improve transportation management decisions in support of improving air quality through efficient traffic management and control of the traffic signals and other ITS devices.
